Brief History
   
  1989 Registered with the State of California as a non-profit organization under the name of Great Commission Theological Seminary, provided theological training to Chinese Christians.
     
  1991 Received tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service
Started Global Mission Department and engaged in pioneer missions
     
  1993 Ministries focused on pioneer missions and name changed to Great Commission Center
     
  1995 Moved the Headquarters to Copper Canyon, Texas and started short-term training ministries among Mainland Chinese in the USA
     
  1998 Obtained membership of Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability
     
  2001 Office moved to Northern California
